[more than 30,000 whales have been killed despite a global ban on commercial whaling since 1986. Harpoons using explosive grenades rarely kill the whales on first blast. They’re hoisted up the side of the ship by the tail with their blowhole underwater, leaving them to drown]
Extracted from CLEO July pg 96.
What many of us may not know is it whales, like dolphins, like humans, are mammals. Meaning they need to come up to air to get the oxygen supply, thus they cannot stay underwater indefinitely. And this is not the only way to kill whales. Over the years, certain people have thought of and invented the most unimaginable cruel violent ways to kill whales, dolphins and porpoises. There should be a stop to it already. Haven’t they suffered enough? Their numbers have decreased so much over the years that certain species are already endangered or extinct.

    And…

[you need to feed 5kg of plant food to an animal to produce 1kg of meat, so imagine the pressure our demand for meat and animal by-products is creating on the planet]
Extracted from CLEO July pg 96.
Well I think it is not necessary to become vegetarian or vegan, but instead we can reduce our meat intake and not waste food. Always finish all food ordered. It is not a lot, but it is what we can do. we should all do our part to help.

dis blog is started by someone who loves dolphins a lot a lot!(: started as her favourite animal, now dolphins became sth she wants to save when she has the money and ability to do so. Not that she has seen a real dolphin before, but still, she wants to help them because she has seen too much cruelty done to them, either from videos online or in books. She does not understand why there are not any major news on this particular unfair slaughter of wildlife, as in why are more than half of the population in the world not know about sth so cruel? Are we all too well-protected by all these kind of horrible terrible news? If so, what are news for then? To only report things that people want to know about?
Initially she only wanted to find out more about her favourite animal, but as time goes by, as she knows more and more, she slowly finds out what is happening at the other side of the world, what those poor dolphins and whales have gone through before all of us were born. The cruelty started as soon as human exists.
Now, she jus want more people to know and become aware of what is happening out dere. Hopefully, it will motivate more people to be aware and help in whatever ways they can.(: and this includes buying canned tuna with dolphin-free label!
